I do not know about other teams, but the Patriots sure seem overly secretive about injuries. I believe that there would be a lot less speculation if the fans and press knew more as to what is going on with injuries.
Mystery injuries: WR Edelman, LB Cunningham. What's up with their absence? Rumors about that one or both are headed for IR before the season starts. The Globe discussion boards are pure rumor mills. I have stopped visiting them.
What have you heard about Edelman? He definitely has not been present anywhere lately.
ReplyDeleteIt seems to me that the Patriots have caught the injury bug from the Red Sox. Belichik is a master at the IR list so I'm not too worried about his gaming the press (and fans)....

ReplyDeleteThe Boston Globe discussion boards had posts alleging anything from an upcoming trip to the IR for Edelman to a minor injury. That is when I stopped reading and posting to the discussion boards. My guess would be that there is nothing serious, just trying to avoid anything serious. After all, he suffered a broken arm last year. The WR corps will be okay so long as Edleman and Tate stay healthy.
